Gordon Kent Hill Obituary
Gordon Kent Hill Known as Kent or Uncle Monks to his friends and family, passed peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the age of 61. Kent was born in Marin on June 6, 1957 to Horace and Leslie Hill. At a young age he was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy. He bravely lived with this his entire life. Always gregarious, fun-loving and outgoing, Kent meant the world to his nieces (Kristen, Bridget, Ashely) and nephews (Ryan, Steve, Nolan, Scott). He was the biggest Giants fan in the world and made many lifelong friendships with other fans he met on the Giants ferry and at the ballpark. He knew Giants statistics like no other and loved to banter about his favorite club. His second passion was fishing and even as it became increasingly difficult physically, he continued to plan and enjoy the annual fishing trips with his brothers Steve and Craig and their fishing buddies. In addition to his brothers, Steve (Jan) and Craig, Kent is survived by his sisters Alex (Ken) and Leslie (Dave), his Aunt Gene, and many cousins, as well as many, many friends. The family is planning a private service. There will be a celebration of Kent's life on September 22, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Stafford Lake Park, Area #3 in Novato. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Kent's honor are invited to give to the in Kent's name.
