HALE DUNN SHARRETT

Hale Dunn Sharrett Age 87, of Appalachia, passed away on November 11, 2010 at Norton Community Hospital. He was a member of the Appalachia Masonic Lodge #229 A.F. & A.M. over 50 years, Kezem Temple Shriners, and the Derby United Methodist Church. Hale was the superintendent for painting the Golden Gate Bridge and was the former owner/operator of the Burger Shack in Appalachia, VA for over 15 years. Hale was preceded in death by his wife Helen Combs Sharrett; parents, Cleo P. and Hale Sharrett, Sr.; brothers, Owen Sharrett, Scott Sharrett, John Harrigan Sharrett; sisters, Kathleen Sharrett, Ruby Baker, Clarice Yvonne Collins. He is survived by son John Hale Sharrett, Sr. of Appalachia; grandchildren, Natasha Sharrett, John Hale Sharrett, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Brianna Sharrett, Tana Sharrett, Wesley Sharrett; sister, Betty Chloe Bolling of Wise. Funeral services were held Sunday, November 14, 2010. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Derby United Methodist Church P.O. Box 164 Appalachia, VA 24216. Roy A. Green Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
