Hildegard Rehbein Obituary

Hildegard Rehbein Hildegard (Hilde) passed away peacefully September 4, 2010. Hilde was born January 9, 1915 in Kolberg, Germany. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willi. The two married during turbulent times in Germany in 1939. Surviving as refugees in Bavaria after World War II with their two young daughters, Brigitte and Ursula, later in 1955 immigrated to San Francisco. Hilde and Willi were drawn to the beauty of West Marin and, in the early 1960's, they moved to Point Reyes Station where they established and operated the original Station House Café Marin. Hilde's selfless love for her family and friends was uniquely special. Her laughter, hearty hugs and sweet wink of her eye will be sorely missed by all. Memorial service is on September 25th at 12:00 Noon at the Presbyterian Church on Wilson Avenue in Novato.
