I had the pleasure, like so many did, of knowing Jim through the Magic Pan Creperie Restaurants. He was always a warm, sincere, enthusiastic , and positive spirit to be around. I can still remember hearing his oh so energetic and warm greeting when he'd be in town for a visit.. It was, "how ya' doin', Mac?" And whatever answer I'd give it was "atta boy, Mac !" Seeing Jim was like having a visit from your best uncle. And he was the same fine man many years later after our work relationship was over when we'd speak occasionally on the phone.

Condolences to all the Durkins. We are all better for having known this truly fine man, Jim Durkin.

I'm so sorry. Jim was one of the warmest people I've ever met. He always had a great smile, and a happy enthusiastic greeting for me. You couldn't help but smile from ear to ear being with him- and love him. He was truely special, and I'll always miss him.

Madeline and family,

I am sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Although it's been many years since I've seen any of you, memories have stayed with me. I hope your memories will provide comfort during this time.
