Lenard Walton Feb. 13, 1959 Jan. 29, 2017 Celebration of Lenard's life will be held at the Dickson Ranch in Woodacre from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm, February 19th. Please call Grace Tolson at 415-488-0454 to confirm. Lenard Walton was born in San Francisco. At the age of 7, he was put into the St. Vincent's children's home for boys where he stayed until the age of about 15. He then lived at the Flying Y Ranch in Mill Valley for a period of time. After that he was in the foster care system and landed at Dickson Ranch in Woodacre under the care of Chuck and Grace Tolson. That is where he resided for the rest of his life. Lenard graduated from Sir Francis Drake High School in 1976. He always had poor eyesight and other disabilities. Yet in spite of that, he started his own business, Marin Pilot Car Service and he became a licensed first responder. On top of that he was the push truck at the Petaluma Race Track where he thrived and beamed with joy as his shiny red truck flashed its lights and the American Flag flew behind. Lenard was constantly happy and helpful to others. The Dickson / Tolson family felt that life with Lenard was always an adventure. We were blessed to have him. He never failed to see the beauty in other people and made us laugh for 42 years. Lenard died of a massive heart attack. He had been having severe health problems from Diabetes but he remained cheerful. He did not suffer when he died; another blessing. Lenard is survived by his family, Grace and Chuck Tolson, Sisters Dawn Ellen Ramsier and Barbara Hernandez, Brothers Scott Robbins, Chalmer and David Tolson, and many other members of the Dickson / Tolson family. Special thanks to Josie Sala, who spent countless hours with Lenard at the hospital and at home. A bright spark has gone out at Dickson Ranch.
