MAGDA POTTER Obituary

Magda A. Potter It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Magda A. Potter, who left us on November 19, 2010, after suffering a debilitating stroke. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 26, 1923, she was affectionately known as "Buddy," and was married in 1942. After the Pearl Harbor attack, she and her husband, Walter, moved to the Sunset District in San Francisco and began their family. Fifty-four years ago they moved to Corte Madera, and Magda was employed in retail sales before retiring. An active member in the Marin Lutheran Church, she was part of the Church's Circle Bible Study group, and sang in the choir along with her husband. Magda is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Walter Potter, Sr.. Sons: Walter Potter, Jr., (Claudia); Steven C. Potter; and Ronald T. Potter (Sandy); as well as her brother, Bill Arp (Felice); four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A private memorial was held Sunday, Nov, 21, 2010. Any contributions would be appreciated to the Leukemia Association in her memory.
