MICHAEL KRESICH Obituary

Michael Peter Kresich Oct. 2, 1950 ~ Oct. 30, 2010 Michael passed away on October 30, 2010 in Inverness CA, from cancer. He was raised in Berkeley, and lived his entire life in the Bay Area. Michael's last weeks were spent at the home of his life-long friend Kate Munger surrounded by those who loved him. Michael was a devoted father whose first priority was always his daughter Natalia, and his pride in her was a constant. His deep love of music, particularly rock, could be seen in his fine collection of acoustic and electric guitars, and playing and singing with friends was a source of joy for him and his friends throughout his life. A trained chef, he loved preparing food for others. Michael leaves his daughter Natalia Kresich, his sister Joan Kresich, brother-in-law Bob Newhall, nephews Luke Newhall, Mark Icanberry (Betty), great-nephew David Icanberry, friends Kate Munger, Kristiina Middleton Bailey and family, Phil Morton, Stephan Avanozian, and many others. A memorial service will be held on Sunday Dec. 5th from 3:00 to 5:00 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley at 1 Lawson Rd. in Kensington. Donations in Michael's name may be sent to Petaluma Hospice, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952, or Threshold Choir, Box 173, Inverness, CA 94937.
