Neil Sullivan Obituary
Neil Sullivan Cornelius (Neil) Sullivan of Greenbrae, California. Neil passed away on September 12, 2013, two months shy of at age 94, after a short illness. Neil was born in Massachusetts and received his early education there and in Washington, D.C. He attended Georgetown University and Georgetown University Law School. He served as a Special Agent with the FBI for 35 years, serving in Denver, Houston, and San Francisco. He served in the San Rafael Resident Agency office of the FBI beginning in 1957 until his retirement in 1975. From 1970 until 1975 he was Senior Resident Agent in that office, handling many important Northern California projects for the FBI. Neil was preceded in death by his beloved wife Kathleen of 60 years. He is survived by his son Gregory (Kathleen) of Los Angeles, daughter Kathleen Gainer (Stephen) of Nov-ato, and grandchildren Neil and Louise Gainer. Neil was a member of the Elks Club, Society of Former Agents of the FBI, Georgetown University Alumni Association, Peacock Gap Golf and Country Club, and Marin Breakfast Club. Neil was much appreciated by his family and many friends for his cheerfulness and sense of humor and delight in life. A memorial ceremony of Neil's life is planned in the future. Donations may be made to Hospice By The Bay in Marin County.
