SHARON CUTHBERT Obituary

Sharon Lorraine Cuthbert March 27, 2010 Our beloved wife and mother went to be with Jesus on March 27, 2010 in San Rafael, surrounded by her devoted family. Sharon Cuthbert leaves her husband of nearly 52 years, Alfred C. Cuthbert, her daughters: Lynne Jennings (George) of Santa Clara, Susanne Cuthbert of Gilroy, Jeanne Glasscock (Scott) of Denver, and Karen Januzik (John) of Santa Barbara, her son: Michael Loeffler of Campbell, and her sister: Janaleen Scavarda (Angelo) of Petaluma. Sharon leaves six grandchildren: Laura, Caleb, Riley, Luke, Jaina, and Abigail. Sharon was born in 1935, the daughter of the late John and Mary Perondi of Sutter Creek, CA. Sharon graduated from Sutter Creek Union High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Berkeley. Sharon then went to Sacramento State College to obtain a teaching credential. She married Al in 1958; they had met while attending UC Berkeley. Sharon worked for two years at an East Oakland Elementary School before the birth of their first child. In 1962, the family moved to San Rafael, where their family grew. In 1968 they moved from the Bret Harte area to Glenwood and joined Saint Sylvester's Catholic Church. Sharon enjoyed participating and volunteering in events there. When Saint Sylvester's was to be closed, she was active on the committee to save the parish, planning fundraisers, parties and other projects. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker, cooking delicious meals for her family. For the past ten years, she has enjoyed travels with family and friends. She was a selfless, beautiful and gracious person. Our family and faith community will miss her greatly. In celebration of Sharon's life, there will be a memorial service at Saint Raphael's Catholic Church on Saturday, April 10 at 12:00 noon. Interment will be in Sutter Creek, CA.
