Madeleine Therese Lawrence Obituary
Madeleine Therese Lawrence 1915 - 2014 Madeleine Therese Lawrence was born January 27, 1915 in Tacoma, WA; she passed away May 8, 2014 in Santa Maria, CA; she was 99 years of age. Miss Therese Lawrence was preceded in death by her loving parents, Leo and Catherine (LeMaster) Lawrence; siblings, Paul Lawrence, Mary (Lawrence) Snead both past residents of San Anselmo and William Lawrence of Tacoma, WA. Missing her greatly are here loving nieces and nephew, Marietta Wise, Teri Herdzik, Kathy Jones and Dan Snead. Therese held a BA from USF and Masters of Library Science from UC Berkeley. She was a California State Librarian until she retired in 1980. Therese was a published author. Her books include "Toward A New Christendom" and "Rosaries and Chaplets", the latter having been accepted by the Vatican Library. She also submitted various articles to magazines for publication. Therese was a devout Catholic and longtime resident of San Anselmo and St. Anselm Parish. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, MCGS, and The National Catholic Foresters of Tacoma, WA. The visitation is 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Monte's Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo, CA. The Memorial Mass is 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2014 at St. Anselm Catholic Church, Ross, CA. Her final resting place is Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, San Rafael, CA.
