Judith (Schweighofer) Brunner Obituary
Judith Brunner (Schweighofer) Judith passed away May 25th at age 78. She was surrounded by family and friends and died peacefully at her home in San Rafael. She is survived by her daughters, Teri Brunner, Elizabeth Roth, and Jody Mengarelli; sons-in-law Sam Roth and Mark Mengarelli; grandchildren, Andrew, John and William Roth, Gena, Matthew and Charles McDonald; her sister MaryAnne Kaufman of Atwater, brother Thomas Schweighofer of Vista, her Friend, Freweini Bahta, and her dog, Beau. Judy was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and moved to San Rafael with her family when she was 7 years old. She was a Graduate of Marin Catholic High School and St. Joseph's College of Nursing. She met her Husband, John Brunner, in the choir at St. Raphael's church, where she and John both sang. John died in 1990. Judy was a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Marin General Hospital for forty years. She was active in the community and was passionate about flowers. She donated her talents to creating flower arrangements for St. Raphael's as well as for family and friends' weddings and celebrations. She was also a talented painter and enjoyed playing Bocce. She lived a full life, was a giving mother and grandmother and loyal friend. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. The Rosary Service is 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Noon, Friday, May 30, 2014, both at St. Raphael Catholic Church, San Rafael, CA. The interment follows at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, San Rafael. Services provided by: Monte's Chapel of the Hills (415) 453-8440
