Hans E. Drenth 22 Aug. 1937 - 7 July 2014 It is with sad and happy hearts that we say good-bye to our father, father-in law, and grandfather. He passed away on Monday, 7 July 2014. Happy in that he gets to be with his loving wife, Iyoko and his spirit is free from his body and all pain. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah and Margareth, son Eduard, five grandchildren, son-in-law Rod Mateo, and daughter-in-law Nicolette Driehuis. Hans was an adventurer, loved to tell stories, and made people laugh. He was a hard and honest worker. He came to the U.S. with a few dollars and joined the U.S. Air Force. Hans retired after 27 years of honorable Service to our Nation after assignments in the U.S. and overseas in Europe and Asia Pacific. He was a pioneer due to his linguistic and cultural adeptness. Through his actions, Hans demonstrated the value of speaking many languages and understanding different cultures. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, 14 Jul 2014 at 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery, 2500 5th Ave., San Rafael.
