Patricia "Trish" Lynn Pappas 7/29/1957- 7/21/2014 Trish, a 57 year old resident of Kentfield, died from aggressive cancer Monday afternoon. She passed surrounded by her husband, children, family and dear friends. Trish was born near the US Army base in Stuttgart, Germany and moved to Pacific Grove, CA around age 1 where she grew up and met her husband John in the 2nd grade during Sunday School at Mayflower Church in Pacific Grove. She earned a teaching credential from Cal Poly and was married to John Michael Pappas of Monterey in 1979. Trish and John moved to Kentfield in 1983 where they raised their children Daniel, Katie and Michael. Trish was a devoted wife, loving mother and active leader in the church community. She was a leader in several churches as well as Bible Study Fellowship. Most recently she was a mercy team leader at Grace Church of Marin. She enjoyed watching the news, walking her dog, cleaning her house, talking about theology and caring for others. Trish is survived by her husband John; children, Daniel, Los Angeles, Katie, Redwood City, and Michael, Oakland; parents, Ken and Doris Riley, Pacific Grove; siblings, Penny Riley, Rancho Cordova, Susan Fuoti (husband Jim), Orangevale. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 27th at 3:00PM at Marin Covenant Church, 195 N Redwood Dr., San Rafael, CA 94903. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to: Grace Church of Marin (P.O. Box 2561, San Anselmo, CA 94979) to be used for the Mercy Ministry where Trish was a leader caring for people going through challenging seasons of life. Monte's Chapel of the Hills 415-453-8440
