Mary Julia Pedrusci Obituary
Mary Julia Pedrusci Of San Rafael, passed away on July 28th, 2014 at Aldersly Skilled Nursing in San Rafael. Mary was born in "Little Italy" in Fairfax California on October 17, 1912, to Angelina and Ernest Arbini. She attended Fairfax Elementary school and went on to Tamalpais High School. After graduation from Tam High in 1929 she went to Business College in San Francisco. She was hired at F.W. Woolworth in San Rafael where she worked for 35 years until she retired. She was Married on October 26, 1940 to Lloyd D. Goode for 17 years who passed on in 1957. Mary loved playing Bingo and watching sports of all kinds, Tennis, Figure skating, golf, little league, auto racing and bowling, but her first love was always the San Francisco Giants. She last went to see the Giants vs. Reds on September 23, 2007 at the new AT&T park. Mary was a Member of the Native Daughters, Goldenaire's, Club Italia, and San Francisco Italian Athletic Club. Mary often reminisced about her father taking her out as a child to west Marin in a wagon pulled by Duke and Dan to pick up gravel they used to build the train tracks into San Rafael, or riding the train every morning and afternoon to Tam High. After 15 years of being single she married a long time friend, Steven Pedrusci on May 9, 1972. From that day on, Mary and Steve traveled the world together and enjoyed life to the fullest. Steve Passed away in 1997. Mary was preceded in death by her two Sisters Margaret Baumann and Theresa Bruce. She is survived by two Nieces, Judith (Ray) Galleguillo and Cathy (John) Admire and two Nephews Robert (Carol) Bruce and Dennis Baumann. She also leaves behind two grand nieces and two grand nephews and one great grand niece. Services will be private. The family asks that any donations be made to Heartland Hospice.
