Patricia Ross Shelton

Patricia Ross Shelton (Morf) Died on December 7th, 2017 in San Rafael, CA at the age of 73. She was a woman who had a breadth of interests and abilities, and an outstanding intellect. Family, friends and colleagues who spent time with Pat enjoyed her joyfulness, playfulness, openness to adventure, and readiness to engage in conversation. Her aesthetic sensibility led her to create a beautiful, colorful home environment that included a bright red wall on which she hung her collection of masks from around the world. Pat drew people in through different avenues: her refined tastes in wine and food, and her love of opera, art museums and galleries, her enjoyment of plants and gardens. Pat met her husband, Mike Morf, at a Lighthouse Singers concert. This choir became one of several communities that sustained her throughout her life; she sang with them for 30 years, even through the week that she died. During her long career as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Pat's devotion to her work sprang from her love of her clients. Her contribution to the understanding and teaching of couple's therapy was widely recognized and lauded.
