William R. Wilson, Jr. Passed away due to heart related illness on March 1, 2010 at his home. He was 86 years of age. Mr. Wilson was retired from Farmers Insurance Company claims department after 40 years service; much of which was in Marin and Sonoma Counties. Following his retirement, he served as a consultant to several legal firms in the settlement of insurance claims. He served in the US Army in World War II. Mr. Wilson was an active member of the Redwood Empire Cursillo Community and San Quentin Kairos Community for many years; Marin SIRS; and the Novato United Methodist Church. He was an avid fisherman; a collector of Civil War memorabilia and antique weapons. He is survived by his wife Grace (Gae) Wilson, sons Scott Wilson of Santa Rosa, and Drew Wilson of Rohnert Park; he was preceded in death by his son Bradley. He also has two stepsons; Mark Forster and Michael Forster, stepdaughters Lynn Mac Pherson Romero, Carol Mac Pherson-Moreland, grandsons Kyle Wilson, Trevor Wilson, Bradley Wilson, Mark R. Forster, Christopher Forster-Cuddy; Sean Forster, Nick Forster, and Michael D. Forster; granddaughters Sarah Forster-Cuddy, Kelley Wilson, Meghan Forster, and great grandchildren; Alysa Parseghian, Jasmin Forster, Jackson Forster and Gavin Rossi. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 12, 11:00 AM at the Novato United Methodist Church, 1473 South Novato Blvd., Novato. In lieu of flowers, the family prefer memorials be made to the Novato United Methodist Church.
