JANE WILSEY COYNE Obituary
Jane Wilsey Coyne May 6, 1952 - Jan. 8, 2013 Our dear sweet Jane passed away peacefully at home on January 8, 2013 fresh from a joyful holiday season shared with her loving extended family. Born on May 6, 1952 to Jack and Olga Wilsey, Jane was raised in San Rafael, attended St. Raphael School, Marin Catholic High School, the University of Arizona and the University of the Pacific. Jane married her high school sweetheart, Edmund Coyne Jr., her soul mate for 39 wonderful years. Together they developed an appreciation of how fortunate they were and recognized how fragile the balance of such beautiful lives could be. Jane made the most of every precious day and adventurously traveled the world with Ed. Jane was totally dedicated to her three children and was a constant presence at their schools while they attended Marin Country Day School and Marin Academy. Jane was also dedicated in a special way to her brother, Hayes Wilsey, which led to many years on the Board of Directors of Lifehouse, a Marin based organization serving adults with developmental disabilities. Jane made life-long friends everywhere she went, around the town and around the world. People were drawn by her wisdom, compassion, energy, humor, style, beauty and sense of fun. Jane also lived an ethical, clean life. She was a non-smoker, light drinker, organic eater, and an athletic person who became ill with lung cancer; she fought it all the way. Jane is survived by her husband Ed Coyne, her three children, Alanna Sutton (Keith) of Kentfield, Katie Potter (Nick) of St. Louis, MO and Edmund Coyne III of San Francisco, her three young granddaughters, Laurel Coyne Potter, Caroline Jane Potter and Molly Eden Sutton. Jane leaves behind her beloved sister, Kathy Wilsey of Portland, OR, and her beloved brothers, Steve Wilsey (Christine) of Tiburon, Robert Wilsey (Mary) of Grandberry, TX, Hayes Wilsey of Novato and Christopher Wilsey (Rita) of Athens, TX. Jane also leaves behind her beloved in-laws, Charles Coyne (Katie), Christopher Coyne and Michael Coyne (Terry) of Sacramento, Jeanne Coyne (John) of Piedmont, Leanne Ceccotti of Larkspur and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Jane's Life will be held Friday afternoon, January 18, 2013. Please contact the family for further information or email janecoynecelebration @gmail.com. Donations in Jane's memory may be made to the Bonnie Addario Lung Cancer Foundation www. lungcancerfoundation.org or the Lifehouse Agency of San Rafael www. lifehouseagency.org.
