Michael James Sarmento In loving memory of Michael James Sarmento our precious son. Michael James was 26, and resided in Rohnert Park. He passed away April 27th 2013 in a motor vehicle accident. Michael James was born April 20, 1987 at Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae, the loving son of Michael Sarmento of Cotati and Lisa Mengarelli of Novato. Michael James had aspired to own a business designing wake boarding and snowboarding clothing for young adults. He was a butcher at Bud's Custom Meats and also worked as a HVAC installer. An avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed abalone diving, wakeboarding, snowboarding, attending concerts and most of all, spending time with his loving wife, family and friends. Michael James is survived by his wife Juliana, his father Michael Sarmento, his mother Lisa Mengarelli, his step parents Kathy Sarmento and John Mengarelli, his sister Paige Sarmento, his grandmother Gloria Petrucci, nephew Noah Michael Von Dohlen and his puppy, Karma. The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 9th 2013 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hills Memorial Park, 1700 Pleasant Hill Rd, Sebastopol (707-823-5042). There will be a gathering immediately following at John and Lisa Mengarelli's home in Novato. The family has set up the "Michael James Sarmento Benefit Memorial Fund" to benefit Michael's wife's nursing degree.
