Frances Marion Heath DeVinny Passed peacefully at home on May 10 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 90. Fran enjoyed a full, meaningful life filled with family, friends and love, and she will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity and caring nature. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Born in Dayton, Ohio, in 1923, Fran graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Business Administration in 1945 and married Robert Churchill DeVinny of Wilmette, Illinois, in 1948. They had three children and adventurously relocated to Marin County in 1960 to raise their family. Fran was an active member of her PEO sisterhood, Alpha Delta Pi sorority, book club, bridge groups, hiking club, and church. She enjoyed travel, volunteered weekly at the for over 15 years, played the piano daily, did a crossword each night, and loved watching Jeopardy on TV. Her proudest accomplishments, however, were her 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Fran is predeceased by her beloved husband Robert (1985) and survived by her son, Robert H. DeVinny (Jeni); daughters Joy DeVinny Keenan (Bill) and Susan DeVinny (Paul Finkle); devoted grandchildren Leah and Carson DeVinny; Jessica and Danny Keenan; and Jenna, Carly and Matthew Finkle. Our family extends our sincerest gratitude to Tally Sivo who cared for her in her last months.
