Jack Conrad Potter Obituary
Colonel Jack Conrad Potter Of Marin County California, passed away July 20, 2013. Born in Abilene, Kansas on March 20, 1919, Jack attended Commerce High School in San Francisco and graduated in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1935. He then went on to pursue a degree at the University of Nebraska at 16 and completed his Bachelors at the University of Maryland in 1961. After college, he completed courses at the Industrial College of Armed Forces, Army Infantry, Command and General Staff College, and received his Master's in Business Administration from George Washington College on June 5, 1963. Jack's much decorated career in the military spanned 33 years and over three Wars including WWII, Korea and Vietnam; and saw him receive The Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart, and 4 Legion of Merit Medals. Jack was a member of the San Francisco Board of Education and Big Sirs; and was a valued member of MOAA, where his many accomplishments involved saving the Junior ROTC and the VFW, among others. Most importantly, Jack was a much beloved, and loving, husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was married to Marie Genevieve Lee on April 7, 1945, and is survived by her, daughter Jacquie Frinsco and her husband, Tim, grandson Sean Kinevy, and brother Robert Potter. He is missed dearly and fondly remembered. Funeral arrangements will be held at Arlington National Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the V.A. Community Living Center and Medical Center. Their special, loving care was a great comfort to Jack and to our family. Thank you all.
