Gene Clark Erickson Obituary
Gene Clark Erickson Gene Clark Erickson passed away peacefully on October 7, 2013. He was 95. Born in San Francisco, Gene was graduated from Polytechnic High School. He attended USF before entering the U.S. Army. Gene served in WWII and the Korean War, and was later stationed in Nicaragua. He spoke fluent Korean and Spanish. Gene retired after 26 years of service with the rank of Lt. Colonel. Settling in Tiburon, Gene and his wife Mitzi Erickson pursued their love of sailing. Gene became a yacht broker. Gene and Mitzi joined the Presidio Yacht Club, and Gene once served as Commodore there. He also served with the volunteer fire departments in Tiburon and Sausalito. In his later years, he enjoyed sitting on his deck watching the boats on the bay. After 67 years of marriage, Gene was widowed in 2010. Gene is survived by two younger brothers and many nieces and nephews. He is lovingly remembered by his family and friends. We thank Heartland Hospice and Aegis Living of Corte Madera for their excellent care during his final months. At Gene's request, no services will be held. Arrangements will be managed by the Neptune Society, and any donations in his memory may be made to the Marin Humane Society.
