Mabre D. Krueger Obituary
Mabre D. Krueger A resident of the The Redwoods in Mill Valley for more than 30 years, our beloved mother peacefully passed away on December 20 after a long illness. Born on September 26, 1914 to Daisy and Elmer Wise of Potomac, IL, she received both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in English from the University of Illinois, and Masters of Library Science from the University of Michigan. She lived with her husband O. Paul Krueger in Michigan, where she worked as a teacher and later as head librarian at the Jackson Community College and raised her family. After her husband's death, she retired and moved to California in 1983 to be closer to her daughter's family. In her retirement she travelled extensively to Elder Hostels across the country and abroad and volunteered at many sites in Marin County. She is survived by her sons, Rev. Kermit Krueger of Evergreen Park, IL, John Krueger, a landscape architect, in Clinton, MI, and her daughter, Dr. Mary Williams of San Francisco, and seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be given to The Redwoods, 40 Camino Alto, Mill Valley, CA 94941. Loved by all who knew her, she will long remain in the hearts of the living.
