Arthur Wellington "Art" Feidler III Obituary
Arthur "Art" Wellington Feidler III Art was born in Oakland, CA to Mildred Mohr and Arthur Wellington Feidler II on August 7th, 1926. When he was one year old, his family moved to Fairfax, CA, before finally settling on Forbes Ave. in San Rafael, CA. He graduated San Rafael High School and joined the Navy, serving in World War II. Art attended College of Marin, where he played basketball and went with his teammates to Springfield, MO to win the 1948 National Junior College Basketball championships. After he graduated from Stanford University, he again served in the Navy in the Korean War. Art worked for the Pacific National Bank and later, Security Pacific Bank, retiring in 1985. In his spare time, Art was a passionate duck hunter and outdoorsman, serving on the board of the Lassen Park Foundation for many years. He passed away peacefully at his home in Kentfield, CA on Monday, January 20th. His wife, Katharine Kirk Feidler and son, Arthur Wellington Feidler IV, survive him. In lieu of memorial services, it was Art's wishes that donations in his memory may be made to the California Waterfowl Association or another .
