Mac Philip Case

UPPER SANDUSKY: Mac Philip Case, age 90 of 201 Wood's Canyon Road, Upper Sandusky, O. died at 9:05 A.M., Tuesday, January 1,2013 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky, O.

He was born on July 27,1922 in Wyandot County to Fred H. and Naamah N.(Ludwig) Case. He married Wilma E. (Adams) on December 24,1944 and she died December 20,1996. He then married Evie (Pagnard) Hall Case on December 30,1999 and she survives.

Surviving are the following children, Hal P. Case, Upper Sandusky, O., Mark (Sue) Case, Dayton ,O.; step-children, Joe (Kris) Hall, Arvada, Colorado, Jurgen (Laura Hall) Haspelmann, Bielefeld, Germany; also surviving are the following grandchildren, Richard Case, Jennifer Yeater, Kimberly Williams and Nathan Case; there are also two step-grandchildren, Edward Haspelmann and Leni Haspelmann; there are also five great-grandchildren surviving besides one sister, Jane L. Miller, Bucyrus, O. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Philip Case who died February 12,1948 and a sister Marie Sweigard; besides his parents and his first wife, Wilma.

Phil worked for 25 yrs. as Director of Environmental Health for Marion County and also was owner/operator of Stewart Root Beer Stand North, Marion, O. for many years. He also loved to farm. He was a member of Sycamore United Church of Christ and currently was attending First Presbyterian Church in Upper Sandusky, O. He was a 1940 graduate of Eden High School and he also was a World War II Army veteran. He was a life member of Sycamore American Legion Post #250, former member of the Sycamore Lions Club, member of the Mohawk Historical Society, a member of Stone Crossing Golf Club, member of PERI Club, life member of the Ohio Environmental Health Association. Also a former board member of Angeline School and the Wyandot Co. Board of Health for 17 years. He also got to go on an Honor Flight to Washington D.C. which he dearly loved. For hobbies he loved to do woodworking,gardening and mowing his yard.

A memorial service and burial will take place later this year.

Memorial contributions can be made to either the Wyandot Co. Health Dept., Mohawk Community Library or the Honor Fight Memorial Fund in care of Walton-Moore Funeral Home, P.O. Box 350, Sycamore, Ohio 44882.
