Lester Jim Rogers
CALEDONIA: Lester Jim Rogers age 86 of Caledonia, Ohio, passed away Sunday October 27, 2013 at the Marion General Hospital.
He was born August 22, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Price N. and Hazel (Malary) Rogers. Lester was twice married, first to Mabel Brocklesby who preceded him in death and then to Jane E. Miller who survives.
Lester was retired as a farmer. He also was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Lester leaves behind his wife and a daughter, Judy (Doug) Parker of Swanton, Ohio; five step-children and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; Erin (David) Boyd and their two children, Kaleigh and Alizay, and Corinne (Nick) Gilliam and their two children, Jaxon and Henlie. Besides his parents and his first wife, Lester was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbi Rogers and a son, Lester J. Rogers, Jr.
There will be a Graveside Service for Lester on Thursday October 31, 2013 at the Claridon Cemetery in Claridon, Ohio at 1:00 PM. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tom Orr. Burial will follow the graveside. There will be no calling hours observed.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the 1st. Consolidated Fire Department of Calidonia, Ohio.
