Zachary Brendan Ulery
MARION: Zachary Brendan Ulery, age 22, of Marion, died unexpectedly Friday morning, July 19, 2013, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, after suffering a seizure while swimming.
On January 1, 1991, Zach was born in Marion General Hospital, the middle son of three of Bill and Amy (Howell) Ulery. He had attended the Marion Harding school systems.
Despite having a lifelong battle with epilepsy, it didn't stop Zach. He was a determined young man …determined to do whatever it was he wanted to do. If he wanted to do something, he would walk or ride his bike across the entire town of Marion to do it. He would have a seizure on his way somewhere, and get right back up and keep on going.
A clothes fanatic, Zach had a love for shopping and getting dressed up ever since he was 5 years old. He loved shopping online, looking for new styles to wear.
A quiet young man, every situation Zach would encounter he would give deep and intense thought to determine how he really felt about something. Most important of all to Zach was his family. He loved to spend time with his beloved daughter, Hannah, and enjoyed their tea parties together. He always wanted to go wherever his father, Bill, was going, and shared a special bond with his brothers.
"Death leaves a heart ache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal."
Zach will forever be remembered and missed by the ones who loved him deeply: Amy and Bill Ulery II; his daughter, Hannah Ulery; two brothers, Dustin Ulery and Nicholas Ulery; maternal grandparents, James and Ruth Howell, all of Marion; paternal grandparents, Bill & Janet Ulery of Lakeview; great-grandmother, Mabel Ulery of Lakeview; two aunts, Jennifer (Randy) Dixon of Marion, and Nicole Brown of Marion; and two cousins, Ryan Lee of Newark and Caitlin Lee of Marion.
The Ulery family will greet friends from 4 - 8 p.m. on Friday, July 26th, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion. Services honoring his life will be held at his graveside in Marion Cemetery on Saturday at 11:00 a.m., with his uncle, Chaplain Randy Dixon officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to his family, and they may be sent to the care of the funeral home.
Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home is honored to have been chosen to serve Zach's family and your private condolences may be expressed to them by visiting www.snyderfuneralhomes.com.

Bill & Amy,
So sorry to hear about Zach. I know nothing that anyone has to say can heal your heart or take away the pain of losing him. Know that he is up there with his Uncle Jimmie and Great Grandpa Harlos watching down on us all. If you need anything, just get ahold of me.
