Dorothy Mae Shaw BUCYRUS: Dorothy Mae Shaw, 84, went to be with the Lord May 23, 2016. Dorothy was born October 4, 1931 to the late Will and Willie Susan (Centers) Hoskins in Allen County Kentucky. Dorothy is preceded in death by husband Jewell Shaw, parents, brothers Delbert Hoskins, Donnie Hoskins, and Douglas Hoskins; sisters, Janie Centers, Delcie Anderson, and Devener Woodard. Dorothy is survived by daughters, Jessie Patricia Abraham and Martha Susan (Rex) Lawrence; grandkids, Eric Abraham, Kim (Chris) Sutter, Ryan (Rubens) Abraham, Jennifer (Jacob) Howell, Rex (Ellen) Lawrence Jr.; as well as 5 great grandkids and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy worked with Ekleberrys for 30 years and most recently at Marion General Hospital. She also loved spending time with the grandkids. Dorothy also had quite a green thumb; she loved her garden and had a passion for sewing and quilting. Dorothy was a member at Allen Co. Mt. Union Church. Visitation will be 4 to 6 pm at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home Thursday May 26. The funeral will be Friday at 11 am at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Compton will be officiating services. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation. Moments of remembrance may be left online at .

Sanderson, Robert  
Robert Lee Sanderson MARION: Robert Lee Sanderson, age 75, of Marion, died Thursday morning, May 19, 2016, at home surrounded by his loving family. On January 3, 1941, Bob was born in Union County, Ohio, the youngest of seven children of the late Walter Sr. and Flora (Riley) Sanderson. He attended Essex Elementary and Richwood High School. For many years, Bob worked as a metallurgist in several foundries, retiring from Eljer's Plumbingware in Salem, Ohio. Bob was a member of the Prospect Street United Methodist Church, the Elks Lodge in Kenton, and was a 32 mason with the Valley of Youngstown, Ohio, and Blue Lodge in Marion, Ohio. In addition to being a loving husband, Bob enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Indians fan. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 35 years, Marilyn Sanderson; a son, Ronald; a daughter, Kristina; three step daughters: Jennifer Alwood Pinkerman (David) of Marion, Kathleen Stultz (Russell) of Kansas City, MO, and Suzanne Larson (Jeff) of Papillion, NE; a step-son, Stephen Smith (Erin) of Columbus; five grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn Beckley of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews. Including his parents, Robert was preceded in death by five siblings: Walter Jr., Richard, and Harold Sanderson, JoAnn Herrington, and Dorothy Hopkins. His family will greet friends from 4 - 7 p.m. on Monday, May 23, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion, with masonic services following at 7 p.m. Services honoring his life will also be held there at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, with Pastors Therese Lehman, Joe Miller and John Capper officiating. Burial will follow in Green Camp Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wesley Scholarship fund at Prospect Street United Methodist Church in Marion. His family would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to Pastors Therese Lehman, Joe Miller and John Capper, and special thanks to those at Kindred Hospice. Shonk, Steven E.  
Steven E. Shonk CALEDONIA: Steven E. Shonk age 62, of Caledonia passed away Saturday morning May 21st 2016 at home. He was born August 11th, 1953 in Port Hueneme, California as the son of the late David A.. & Patricia (Roseberry) Shonk. Steve was a 1972 graduate of River Valley High School. He was a tractor-trailer operator and was last employed by Depot Express at the Marion Industrial Center. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Caledonia Post No. 401. Steven loved to golf and was an avid fisherman. His favorite "fishing holes" were in Tennessee and Alabama. Steven is survived by his sister Bobbie J. Fiant of Caledonia and his niece Nikki (Ken) Blevins of Waldo. He was very fond of his grand nephews David & Nate Blevins. Steven was preceded in death by his infant son David in 1988. Graveside services for Steven Shonk will be held at 2:00 on Friday May 27th, 2016 in Caledonia Cemetery with Jimmy Butters officiating.
