MEADVILLE, PA: Ruth Anna McFarlin, 99, of Meadville, PA died March 2, 2011 at Wesbury United Methodist Community, Meadville. She was born December 1, 1911, a daughter of Hollis and Florence Foulk Ulsh, all of Cairo, IL.

She married John P. Brinkman and he preceded her in death November 5, 1967. She subsequently married William A. McFarlin October 10, 1971 and he preceded her in death April 22, 2001.

Ruth was a homemaker and member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Meadville. She was a former member of the Marion, OH Chapter Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed fishing, baking, cooking, and gardening. She especially enjoyed baking pies, cookies, and cakes for her neighbors and friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Creasap of Hope Mills, NC; five grandchildren, Susan Creasap and her husband John Hennen of Morehead, KY, Sandra Bush and her husband Bill of Canisteo, NY, Mark Creasap and his wife Linda of Spartanburg, SC, Sharon Watt and her husband Dennis of Cumming, GA, and Shelley Hoyt and her husband Shane of Hope Mills, NC; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be Thursday, March 10th at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at The Marion Cemetery, Marion, OH where interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 649 Park Ave., or the Wesbury Foundation, 31 N. Park Ave., both of Meadville, PA 16335.
