Donna E (Hord) Tomaziefski

DAYTONA BEACH, FL: Donna E (Hord) Tomaziefski passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 in Daytona Beach, FL with her husband Ray by her side.

Born to Dorothy (Grace) and Harold L Hord on April 7, 1937 in Marion, OH.

Preceded in death by her parents; a son, Monte J Thomas 1973; daughter, Melanie Maison 2004; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Owen 2001.

Survived by husband Ray Tomaziefski; son, Carl "Huck" (Midge) Thomas of Florida; sister, Carolyn (Terry) Owen and brother Harold (Rene) Hord of Marion, OH; stepchildren, Bradley, Robin, Danny, George, Barbara and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Josh Maison, Morgan and Avery Thomas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

Donna graduated in 1955 from Marion Harding High School. Owned and operated River Bend Camp ground in the 1970s and into the mid 1980's. She met the love of her life, Ray Tomaziefski at a Dale Carnegie class and eventually they moved to Florida in 1989. For the past 18 years Donna has worked in the ticket office of Daytona International Speedway. Over those years she touched the hearts of many speedway customers and co-workers. She loved working at the speedway. Her bright smile and kind voice will be missed by everyone who knew her.

The family would like to thank all the family and friends who prayed for Donna during this difficult time. Funeral services took place on Jan. 17 in Daytona Beach, Fl.

A celebration of Donna's life will take place Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 for a 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm visitation and a 2:00 pm memorial service at Central Christian Church, 421 Mt. Vernon Ave., Marion, OH.

Donations can be made in Donna's name to any local Military Veterans .
