Earl Williams

MARION: Earl Williams, age 68, cherished husband, beloved father, and endearing grandfather passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 , at 11:38 p.m. in his residence.

He was born in Wheelwright, Kentucky on May 19, 1944 to the late James and Gladys M. (Taulbe) Williams. On November 20, 1969, Earl married the former Donna Marie Gorton and she survives in Marion. He served in the U.S.Army from 1961-1963 in the Panama Canal. Earl truly enjoyed watching baseball, football, basketball, bowling and wrestling on TV. He was on the Tecumseh Products softball & bowling teams while working there from 1970-1984. Earl later worked as a team leader for Black Hawk Automotive from 1985-2004 before retirement.

Surviving along with his wife, Donna; are three daughters, Candace (William) Reaper, Cheryl (Russell) Weeks, and Carey (John) Wiseman all of Marion; three brothers, Ezra & Ray (Rose) Williams both of Florida, and Glen Williams of Marion; two sisters, Myrtle (Fred) Schwaderer of Cherokee Village, Ark. and Louise Conley of Marion; eight grandchildren, Jesse (Angela Wells) Wiseman, Bo (Chelsea) Wiseman, James and Steven Weeks, Cody (Lindsey Douglas) Reaper, Angelica, Shyann, and Dalton Reaper; and a special friend and "Mechanic", Mark Blevins whom lovingly called him: "Old Man".

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Perry and James A. Williams and two sisters, Geneva Breeding and Linda Canterbury.

A private celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at his residence with burial at a later date.
