MARION: Katherine Ann "Katie" Moser, age 82, of Marion, went to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on July 23, 2013. She was born August 17, 1930, in San Pedro, California, to Kuzma and Katherine (Peruzovich) Anich. She studied nursing because of her desire to help others. On February 9, 1957, she married Robert Lee Moser, who preceded her to heaven in 2002. Bob and Katie were always giving to others!

They raised four children, David (Lisa) Moser of Hampstead, N.C, Susan (John) Holler of Marion, John (Celeste) Moser of Larue and Elizabeth Clayton of Marion.

Her other remaining dearly loved relatives include 13 grandkids, Christina Moser Eberly, Liza (Michael) Lower, Rachelle Holler, Ben Holler, Laura (Caleb) Frey, Megan (Christopher) Camm, Bob Moser, John Moser, David Moser, Kiralynn Moser, Matthew Moser, Rebekah (Chris) Moser-Stephenson and Nick (Chardonay) Moser and 6 great grandchildren, her sister Ann (Dick) Rogers of Polk, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

The grandkids could tell you she was their biggest fan and passed on her love of music!

Katie loved her church family at Fair Park Baptist Church through teaching Sunday school and VBS, singing in the choir and cooking for many funerals and church fellowships.

She was known as "the hat lady" because she loved wearing hats! Katie never met a stranger and even in her death wanted to help others by donating her body to the Ohio State University Hospital for research and furthering education.

In memory of Katie, wear a hat this Friday or find someone to ask "Has anyone told you today? God loves you and I do too!"

The Boyd-Born Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the family.
