Linda L. Riley
MOUNT GILEAD: Linda L. Riley, age 71, of Mount Gilead died Wednesday September 25, 2013 at her home after a brief illness.
She was born November 22, 1941 in Cardington to the late Bernard L. and Sarah "Edna" ( Mateer ) Morris.
Linda was a 1960 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School and worked as a receptionist at Angels Home Health Care in Mount Gilead. She was a member of the Canaan United Methodist Church. Linda enjoyed playing bingo and loved music and dancing. She was an avid Buckeye fan.
On November 16, 1968 in Cardington, Linda married Murrel Riley and he survives in Mt. Gilead; other survivers include children, Randy Riley of Mt. Gilead, Michelle Freeman of Marion, and Eric Riley of Marion; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Chuck (Linda) Morris of Raleigh, N.C., James (Liz) Morris and Floyd (Shirley) Morris both of Cardington, Judy (Robert) Johnson of S.C., Sharon (Bud) Collmer of Marion and Nancy (Rick) Bahr of Fairbanks, AK.
Friends may call on Friday Sept. 27, 2013 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 South Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will be held Saturday morning September 28 in the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Steve Bloomfield officiating. The burial will follow in Rivercliff Cemetery.
