Patricia Sanborn

LANCASTER: Patricia Sanborn, age 74, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at the Genesis-Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.

Patricia was born on June 22, 1938 in Tennessee, the daughter of Howard and Peggy (Curtis) Wittibslager. She attended high school in LaRue, and graduated from there in the class of 1957.

On October 5, 1990, Patricia married Jerry Sanborn in Lancaster, Ohio and together they have shared 22 loving years of marriage. Jerry was not just Patricia's husband, he was her best friend, her soul mate and her everything.

Patricia spent time working as a clerk at the Marion Post Office, but the job she really enjoyed was working at Elder-Beerman in Lancaster.

Patricia had a true zest for life and loved every minute she was given. She had a smile that would light up a room and it would make all around her feel welcomed. She accepted everyone and had a heart of gold. She loved those around her for who they were, without complaint or judgment. Patricia was very generous and many times she was "silently generous", doing things for people that many times they never even knew about. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life such as a great breakfast at Bob Evans, working in her flower garden or antiquing. Her greatest delight was being with her family and enjoying every second of it. To know Patricia was to be blessed and loved.

She will be dearly remembered by her beloved husband Jerry Sanborn; her children: Kevin (Vicki) Sessler, Kirk (JoAnn) Sessler and Shelly (Jamie) Haines; her grandchildren: Brittany (Tom) Sessler, Brooke (Johnny Walker) Sessler, Erica Sessler, Leann Sessler and Nicole Haines; great granddaughter Addysen; Siblings: Barb (Steve) Photiades and Gary "Whip" Wittibslager; Nieces: Lisa (Steve) Hunt, Nitsa (Aaron Stanger) and Christi (Jeff) Parthemore; her dear friend Arlene Cooper-Erhart and her beloved cat Patches.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 4PM to 7PM; Services celebrating her life will be at the funeral home on Friday at 1PM with Pastor Matt Brent officiating.
