Tamela Jo "Tammy" (Stepp) Kuhlman
FINDLAY: Tamela Jo "Tammy" (Stepp) Kuhlman, 55, of Findlay passed away suddenly Friday evening June 27, 2014. She was born on September 29, 1958 to Billy J. and Jeaneen (Rippey) Stepp, her mother survives in Findlay. She was preceded in death by her father.
Tammy is survived by three children: Jennifer (Charles) Zehender of Findlay, Ashley (Anthony) Leahy of Lewis Center, Ohio and Jacob (Brittan Eichman) Kuhlman of Findlay; two grandchildren, Noah Kuhlman and Kayleigh Zehender, step-grandson, Justin Zehender; and fiancé' Steve Helfrich.
She was a 1976 graduate of Findlay High School and received her bachelor's degree from Findlay College. She married Joe Kuhlman and they later divorced. She was a pre-school teacher
at Around the Clock Pre-school in Findlay. She was a member of Arcadia United Methodist Church where she enjoyed being a part of the "Laf-A'Lot" group. She was a 30+ year member of a women's card group and enjoyed playing Bingo. She was an avid sports fan, but, above all else enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Arcadia United Methodist Church with Pastor Erma Metzger officiating. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME and for one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
