Keith Combs Obituary
MARION: Keith Ellis Combs, age 38, of Marion and formerly of Springboro, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Sunday morning, January 19, 2014, at the Marion General Hospital surrounded by his loving family after complications from Juvenile Diabetes and an automobile accident.
On December 17, 1975, Keith was born in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Loretta (Scroggins) Combs Mahler and the late Henry Edward Combs. He was raised in Springboro, Ohio, where he lived for much of his life and he had attended school there. He graduated from American Home Schooling.
Keith loved skateboarding, comic books and tattoos. He would tease and say all his tattoos scared all the bad people away.
He will be dearly missed by his mother, Loretta (Walter) Mahler of Marion, OH; two brothers, Tim (Robin) Combs of Marion, OH, and Ken (Danielle) Combs of Wilmington, OH; one sister, Tami Masters of West Carrollton, OH; a step-brother, Brian (Deborah) Mahler of Marion, OH; two step-sisters, Sandra (Mark) Medina) of Columbus, OH, and Kristin (Melvin) Schank of LaRue, OH; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special nephew, Bryan (Heather) Combs that was always at Keith's side.
Including his father, Keith was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; two uncles, Kent Combs and Jack Scroggins; who were very dear to him, and many aunts and uncles.
A memorial service celebrating Keith's life will be held on Friday, January 24th, at 2:00 p.m., at the Shining Light Baptist Church, 294 Mt. Vernon Ave., Marion, OH 43302, with Pastor Gary Carr officiating. Keith will be laid to rest with his father in Springboro Cemetery, and a graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 25th, at 1:00PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home or to the American Diabetes Association, and they may be sent to the care of the funeral home.
His family would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to the lady who purchased a gift card at Christmas time and had the manager of Kroger's give it to Keith - you restored Keith's faith in human kindness.

We're sad to hear about the loss of a wonderful person. Loretta & Walt, may your hearts heal with time. He's a handsome young man. I still can hear him coming to our home asking for Tonya.
