Archie Edward Harford

FOREST: Archie Edward Harford, age 84, of Forest, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

Born September 3, 1927, in Lakeview, OH, to the late James and Rose (Toland) Harford, Archie was the youngest of 11 children. In 1959, he married Patricia White Pennington who preceded him in death on October 25, 1994. Archie served his country in the Army during WWII and Korea. He retired from Tecumseh and Claycraft, enjoyed fishing, and watching western movies.

Archie is survived by his children, Steve P (Heather) Harford of Upper Sandusky, Laura (Terry) Campbell of De Graff, OH, and Maureen (Amanda) Harford of Marion; grandchildren Sean, Jennifer, Terri, Clare, and Lee; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Archie is preceded in death by his siblings George, Fred, Raymond, Robert, Glen, John, infant brother Richard, Mable, Wyanetta, and Lucretia.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 3, 2012, at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors, 347 W. Center St., Marion, with Chaplain Mary Curtis officiating at 4PM with calling one hour prior to the service. Military Honors will be conducted by Marion County United Veterans Council.
