Ernest F. Cramer

RICHWOOD: Ernest F. Cramer, 93 of Richwood, died Monday morning, July 28, 2014 at Milcrest Nursing Center in Marysville. He was born May 12, 1921 in Union County to the late Clyde and Clara Cramer.

On July 7, 1951 he married the former Edna Marie Weatherby and she died February 13, 2008. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Cramer.

He was retired from Pollak Steel in Marion where he worked for many years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during World War II. Ernest participated in steam engine shows and was a member of a motorcycle club. He also enjoyed fishing and camping and working on lawn mowers for people in town.

He is survived by two daughters, Fern Cramer, Marysville, Faye Cramer, Richwood; a step-son, Herman (Pat) Heminger, Powder Springs, GA; two step-daughters, Pat (Bill) Knear, Bellefontaine, Beverly (Elmo) LeMaster, Cardington; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Helen Weaver, Marysville.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Joe Rhea officiating. Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Richwood Area Veterans. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 6 PM at the funeral home in Richwood.
