They were married on July 9, 1971 in Marion, Ohio and he survives. Hope graduated from the State Beauty Academy and later became an instructor for several years. She was a beloved member of Victory In Truth Ministries and enriched the lives of everyone she met.
Surviving along with her husband Steve are a son, Stephen Phillips II of Marion; a daughter, Amy (James) Rigney of Marion; two grandchildren, Jude Phillips and Josie Rigney; sisters, Shelley (Murlen) Paul of Marion, Merry (Lyle) Henretty of Green Camp, and Wendy (Dave) Weiss of Marion; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
