 Rebecca A. "Becky" Miller
MARION: Rebecca A. "Becky" Miller, age 78, of Marion, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 6:45 AM at Marion Pointe Nursing Home. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
Born in Quincey, IL., on January 26, 1934 to the late Robert C. and Ruby I. (Bird) Edwards. On November 15, 1952 in Marion, Ohio she married Virtue Miller, he preceded her in death on April 10, 1999.
Becky was a Christian for 51 years, was an original member of White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church. She was employed at Mueller-U Brand in Upper Sandusky, Ohio for several years, retiring in 1996.
Becky is survived by three daughters, Linda F. (Daniel) Galyk of Marion, OH., Joyce L. (Reginald) Burlile of Marion, OH., Shirley A. (James) Pickett of Marseilles, OH.; two sons, Ronald L. (Lu Ann) Miller of Marseilles, OH., Jerry D. (Gail) Miller of Eastover, SC.; 11 grandchildren, Tracie (Jeff) Cline, Randy (Christina Sisson) Gay, Shane C. (Kelly Armstrong) Hershey, Anna Burlile, Jennifer Hershey, Crystal (David) Bridenstine, Amy Miller, Amanda Burlile, Tara (Joe) Theil, Ashley Miller, Kelly Hershey; 13 great grandchildren; four sisters, Iona (Sam) Shaw of Fon-du-lac, WI., Rosalee Baier of Richmond, IN., Roberta Callahan of Marion, OH., Peggy Rowland of New Bloomington, OH.; one brother, Russell (Charlene) Edwards of Richwood, OH.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two brothers, Floyd Starks Jr. and Phillip Edwards; one sister, Patsy Holycross.
The family would like to give a special thank you to her doctors, the staff at Marion General and Wyandot Memorial Hospitals and to the Marion Pointe Nursing Home.
Visitation for Becky will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2012 starting at 12 noon until service time Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 11 AM at White Oaks Road Freewill Baptist Church, 1859 White Oaks Rd. with Pastors Danny Dickerson and Grover Caudill officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery. The Boyd-Born Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the family.
