Robert "Bob" Joy Fogle
KINSTON, NC: Robert "Bob" Joy Fogle, 67, of Kinston, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012.
Bob was born October 25, 1944 in Marion, Ohio to the late William Everett Fogle and Opal Ilene Mason Fogle. Bob served with the United States Army during 1963-1966 where he was stationed in Germany. While there he met his wife of forty eight years, Hanna Fogle, whom he married on June 11, 1965 in Obrigheim, Germany. Bob retired from Eaton Corporation in 1999 and then settled in Kinston where he has worked with Enterprise Rent-A-Car for the past twelve years. He was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church and the Ed Potter Sunday School Class. Bob enjoyed classic cars, traveling, fellowship with the "golf gang" and most of all cherished time spent with his grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. from Bethel Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Truett officiating.
Bob is survived by his wife of forty eight years, Hanna Fogle; four children, William Thomas Fogle and wife, Krista of Plain City, OH, Teresa Michelle Beachy and husband, Darian of New Brownsfels, TX, Richard Joy Fogle of Marion, OH and Chad Everett Fogle and wife, Adrienne of Marion, OH; sister, Linda Gilmore of Upper Sandusky, OH; brother, Lonnie Fogle of Marion, OH; nine grandchildren, Madyson, Casey, Justin, Katlyn, Camryn, Christian, Kendra, Mitchell and Keagan; along with nine nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by four sisters, Patricia Taylor, Sally Fogle, Carol Ann Fogle and Dixie Lee Fogle.
The family will receive friends Friday following the memorial service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to Bethel Christian Academy, 1936 Banks School Road, Kinston, NC 28504. Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
