Troas Evelyn Folk
FINDLAY: Troas Evelyn Folk, age 87, of Findlay, Ohio, died at 8:30 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2012 at The Heritage.
Troas was born on April 21, 1925 in rural Tiro, Crawford County, Ohio to Murray L. and Nealy (Craun) Hemminger. On November 2, 1957 she married Kenneth R. Folk in Angola, Indiana and he preceded her in death on June 30, 1990.
She is survived by a niece, Judy Eddington; a nephew, whom she raised, Harold Hemminger; nephews, Donnie Yoder and Jim Yoder; and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rowena Yoder; and brothers, Robert Hemminger and Ford Hemminger.
Troas was a 1943 graduate of Jackson-Liberty High School, Amsden, Ohio. She was employed for fifteen years at the Kroger Co. and retired in 1985 from the City of Findlay. Troas was a former music teacher. She especially enjoyed teaching and playing the accordian.
Visitation hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Neil Norheim officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic, Ohio.
