FULTON: Clara A. Bradley, age 93, of Fulton died Sunday evening June 8, 2014 in the Woodside Village Care Center. She was born July 18, 1920 in Prospect to the late Charles and Bertha (Slagle) Alkire.
Clara married Robert "Bob" Bradley in 1940 in Mount Gilead who preceded her in death on August 25, 1989.
Clara was a health care aid for Morning View Care Center for 43 years. She had a servant's heart and was extremely humble. Clara loved cooking, spending time with family, family Sunday meals, and her cats. She also had a green thumb. Helping and taking care of people was her best asset.
Clara graduated from Mount Gilead High School with the class of 1938.
Clara is survived by two sons, William "Bill" Bradley of Marion and Gary (Carol) Bradley of Fulton; two half-sisters, Opal (Ron) Carsner of Cardington and Clara (Tom) Bryant of Marble Head; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Clara was preceded in death by a brother, Foster Alkire; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Bradley.
The funeral is on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 South Center Street in Cardington with Kathy Laird officiating. Burial will follow at the Fulton Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m on Tuesday evening.
