Norma Coons Obituary

BUCYRUS: Norma Coons of Bucyrus, passed away on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in Heartland of Bucyrus. She has received the ultimate gift of a new life in Heaven with a new body she is now able to walk and laugh as she celebrates her homecoming.
She left behind a family that loved her greatly but now has joined with those that have gone before, her parents, Ivan P. and Virginia (Blankenship) Brown; a brother, Butch Strause; and extended family Carol and Paul Starlin.
She will be missed by those left behind, her children, Jean (Greg) DeChant, Marion, Carl (Irene) Coons, Jr., Marion, Jeff (Ann) Coons, Jasper, TX, Jane (Bob) Kepler, Bucyrus, Jay (Judy) Coons, Bucyrus, Jim (Erin) Coons Netherland, CO, Tim (Theresa) Myers, Bucyrus, Mary (Steve) Dean, Bucyrus; grandchildren and great grandchildren, a source of great joy to her, she will be missed by grandchildren, April (Brian) Johnson, Jennifer, Ryan, Nathan, Ivan, Joseph, Josh Coons, Cindy, Mike (Miranda) and TJ Kepler; Gabrielle DeChant; as well as numerous great grandchildren; brother, Dick (Patty) Blankenship, Marion; and sister, Pat Clark of Marion.
Norma was born on May 21, 1935 in Marion and moved to Bucyrus in 1969. She retired from Heartland after working there for 25 years. During her lifetime she was a proud member of the Living Word Fellowship (formerly Wesleyan Methodist) Church for over 40 years where she was Sunday School teacher, board member, and Missionary Society treasurer.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Living Word Fellowship Church with Rev. Tim Myers officiating, burial will be in Marion Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the Living Word Fellowship.
