MANSFIELD: Robert M. Dutcher, age 51, of Mansfield, formerly of Lexington, passed away Thursday morning, January 13, 2011 in OSU Medical Center from a sudden complication of his long-term illness.

He was born June 25, 1959 in Marion to Robert E. and Betty A. (Benach) Dutcher. Bob was graduated from Pleasant High School in 1977 where he was captain of the varsity basketball team. Following high school he attended Bowling Green State University earning his degrees.
Bob was employed with Exact Software North America in Columbus (formerly Macola Software in Marion) where he was a dedicated employee for more than 15 years and very proud of his position.
Though his illness limited his activities, Bob enjoyed taking road trips with his wife, spending time with his family, and doting on his beloved dogs and cats.
Survived by his loving wife and forever-partner of nine years, Joan Kirby Dutcher of Mansfield, Bob also leaves behind daughter, Andrea and her husband Christopher Bishop; son, Ian Kirby all of Mansfield; granddaughter, LillyAnn Clare Bishop; mother, Betty Dutcher of Port Clinton; sister, Beth and husband Mike Vannett of Bowling Green; brother, Don and wife Joyce of Marion; sister-in-law, Laura Dutcher of Columbus; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy A. Kirby and David Gibala of Downingtown, PA, along with nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Michael Dutcher.
A memorial gathering will be held in Bob's honor at a later date. The Dutcher family has chosen Snyder Funeral Homes and wishes to thank them for their compassionate and professional care.
