Ruby was born September 17, 1927 in Prospect, Ohio. She was a faithful soldier and volunteer of The Salvation Army Corps in Marion, Ohio, Piqua, Ohio and, most recently, the corps in Van Wert, Ohio for a combined 44 years. She was the adult Sunday School teacher and the League of Mercy Secretary of the Marion, Ohio Corps for many years sharing the word of God with her students, shut-ins, and those living in nursing homes.
