Earl E. Krider

NAPLES, FL: A warm spring breeze waft through East Naples, Sunday evening, March 23 and took with it Earl E. Krider, 83 affectionately known as 'The Mayor of Whittenberg Villas'.

Earl was born in Marion, Ohio on November 21, 1930, to John and Nellie Krider. He had two sisters and three brothers: Helen, Norma, Ray, LeRoy and Karl. Earl was married to Virginia Mae who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son, Brent (Lora Lynne), his daughter, Debra (George Smith); beloved grandchildren: Justin, Jeremy (Megan), Jennifer (Matt), and Jeffrey (Stephanie); and great grandchildren: Vincent, Samantha, Violet Joy, Mason and Daisy Virginia.

Earl was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, a retired Armco Steel worker and a Realtor.

Earl kept his garage door open every day and 'held court' with his neighbors and friends. He easily spoke with people he didn't know, but his family and countless friends will always remember him for his strong beliefs, good humor and conversation, along with his many kind and generous acts during his lifetime.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday March 29, 2014, 11:00a.m. at Shepherd of the Glades Church, 6020 Rattlesnake Hammock Rd., Naples, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to Shepherd of the Glades Church.
