Myra Gene Brooks Albert

JEFFERSON - Funeral services for Myra Gene Brooks Albert will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at First United Methodist Church in Jefferson. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Albert died Dec. 17, 2009, in Marshall. She was born Oct. 15, 1925, in Jefferson. Mrs. Albert was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church, was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, graduated from the University of North Texas, and was a Registered Medical Technologist. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Kirkpatrick Brooks and Tom Gordon Brooks; her husband, Gordon; her daughter, Barbara Jones; and her brother, "Tex" Brooks. Survivors are her grandsons, Austin Jones of Dallas and Tyler Jones of College Station; brother, Don L. Brooks and wife Jinhee of Monument, Colo.; son-in-law, Kevin D. Jones and wife Karen of Jefferson; and their children, Jonathan Price of Texarkana, Rebecca Price and Sarah Jones, both of Jefferson. Pallbearers will be Kevin Jones, Austin Jones, Tyler Jones, Jonathan Price, Philip McFerrin, and James Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be members of The Seekers Sunday School Class.
