Funeral services for Mary Dell Black Lewis, 80, of Karnack, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at Mt. Zion Spiritual Church in Marshall with Pastor Cedell Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Sipps Cemetery in Karnack.
Mrs. Lewis died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at 3:35 p.m. at Good Shepherd Medical Center, Marshall. She was born Oct. 31, 1930, in Karnack, to Rervey Thomas and Marie Black Thomas. She married Henry Lewis on July 17, 1957, in Karnack. She was retired and was a member of Mt. Zion Spiritual Church.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Darlene (Frank) Manning of Marshall, Geraldine (Robert) Hood of Karnack and Katheren Lewis (Godwin) Nwakanma of Grand Prairie; two sons, James Lee (Carolyn) Black of Marshall and Henry L. Lewis of Karnack; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four special children, Gloria Buchanan, Nancy Hunt, Rodney Buchanan and Johnathan Buchanan, all of Dallas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
