Anna L. Kulinich, 88, Pittsville, has gone home to be with her beloved husband, Simon, on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Elmwood Park, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville with Rev. Wanda Veldman officiating. Burial will take place in City Point Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 am until service time at Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home.

Anna was born on October 17, 1925 in City Point, Wisconsin, to Christ and Dora (Remington) Jepson and was a graduate of Pittsville High School.

She married Simon Kulinich on Dec. 20th 1945 when they eloped to Rock Island IL. They met as neighbors at the age of 2 and 7 and knew each other from that time on with only an absence while Simon was in the Army and served over seas in World War II.

She enjoyed gardening, working with family and friends on cranberry marshes, serving as the first female clerk of Wood County and traveling with her husband. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends with a quick wit and loyalty seldom seen. She fought through many adversities and is finally at rest. She loved sewing and making quilts. Also baking Christmas cookies every year for family and friends and making donuts for her grandchildren and husband. She also loved watching birds.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Alex) Capraro of Elmwood Park, IL and Lucy (Vijay) Bhatia of Fairfax, Virginia

She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 10 great -grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a grandson Vinay and her 3 brothers.
