Bruce M. Knoble, age 86, of Marshfield, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at his home in Marshfield. Due to his wishes, no services will be held.
Bruce was born on January 25, 1926 in Wisconsin Rapids, the son of Ernest and Elizabeth "Audrey" (Keach) Knoble. He attended the Marshfield Schools and was drafted in the U.S. Army, serving in Frankfort, Germany in WWII
as a Heavy Artillery Mechanic with the rank of 1st Sergeant. On September 10, 1949, Bruce was united in marriage to Lucille Lau in March Rapids, Marathon County, WI. He was owner of Maurer Heating and Refrigeration and then worked for Reigel Plumbing until his retirement. After his retirement, he kept busy working part time for Thomas Electric.
Bruce was Past Commander of VFW
Post 1866, served in the Wisconsin National Guard for 20 years, a member of the Eagles Club and a member at Faith Lutheran Church. Bruce loved to go deer hunting and fishing, especially in Canada, was a fan of professional wrestling, NASCAR and football, especially the Packers.
Bruce is survived by his wife Lucille; his daughter, Nancy (Paul Jenson) Knoble, Minneapolis, MN and two grandchildren: Courtney and Zachary Jenson, Minneapolis
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Audrey and a brother, Keith.
